MANILA, Philippines — The NBA playoffs are finally here after an eventful regular season.
Bearing witness to the end of colorful careers of basketball greats Dwayne Wade and Dirk Nowitzki as well as an end to LeBron James' playoff streak, the 2019 NBA regular season was anything but boring.
But NBA action is far from over as the league gets set for the first round of the post-season that kicks off this Saturday, April 13 (April 14 Manila time).
MVP runner Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks finish with a league-best 60-22 to clinch the top spot in the East.
The Bucks are set to clash with the eight-seed Detroit Pistons to open the playoffs.
Meanwhile, in the West defending Champions Golden State Warriors are atop the conference standings and will meet the LA Clippers in round one.
