UST knocks UE out of UAAP volleyball contention

MANILA, Philippines – The UST Golden Tigresses eliminated the UE Lady Warriors with a 25-20, 25-20, 25-16 victory in the 81st UAAP women’s volleyball tourney at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Saturday.

Despite a slow start from go-to scorers Sisi Rondina and Eya Laure, the España-based squad was able to heat up in time to send UE to their ninth loss of the season.

The Lady Warriors are now out of Final Four contention, finishing with a 2-9 win-loss record.

UST, meanwhile, improved to a 7-4 slate.
