Battle of winners in Pasay derby today
MANILA, Philippines — A slew of derby winners will be fielded at Pasay City Cockpit as the 2019 Luzon Gamecock Breeders Association (LGBA) Cocker of the Year series continues today with a 7-bullstag derby on tap.
LGBA president Nick Crisostomo said all participants will field their ace fighters from last year’s events like LGBA Breeder of the Year contest, National Bakbakan 12-Stag Derby and National Digmaan 11-Stag Derby.
“It’s an exciting battle of winner versus winner,”said Crisostomo.
Two elimination rounds (3-bullstag), backed by Sagupaan Superfeeds and Complexor 3000, will be held March. 11 and 18 followed by the 4-bullstag finals on March. 25.
Among the participants today: 2019 World Slasher Cup 1 runner-up Biboy Enriquez, Alex Aguirre, Edwin Lumbres, Jun Sevilla, Jun Caparroso, Nelson Uy, new ‘Sagupaan’ endorser Hector Magpantay, Aaron Cacho, Triple J Farms, Engr. Bong Cababa, Mark Sy, Ren Castro, Larry Villacorte, Carlos Tumpalan and 2018 LGBA Breeder of the Year Jimmy Junsay.
The 2019 LGBA ‘Cocker’ race culminates with the third leg on April 12 (Encuentro 5-Bullstag Derby).
