Tigresses battle NU Bulldogs

MANILA, Philippines — University of Santo Tomas looks to sustain its inspired play against National University even as reigning titlist La Salle guns to quickly escape unfamiliar territory as it takes on University of the East in the UAAP women’s volleyball at the Filoil Flying V Center today.

Drawing inspiration from the sudden loss of Milena Alessandrini to injury (partial ACL tear, MCL and LCL sprain in her left knee), the Tigresses wore their hair in a bun just like the sidelined Fil-Italian did and hacked out the shock 25-20, 25-22, 25-17, victory over the Lady Spikers last Wednesday.

UST will rally anew behind Sisi Rondina (19 pts, 14 excellent receptions) and Eya Laure (15 pts, 17 digs)  against DLSU, as well as Dimdim Pacres, KC Galdones, setter Mafe Galanza and libero Janel Delerio.
