MANILA, Philippines — The UST Golden Tigresses brought the heat to the court yesterday.

It wasn't just their explosive offense that turned heads, but also their "swag" on the court when they score a point.

No stranger to stare downs and trash talk in games, the UAAP has already seen its fair share of "swag" this season.

UST's matchup with the UP Lady Maroons was no exception.

Animated volleybelles from both sides of the net went at it all game long.

But the Golden Tigresses were quick to clarify that the "swag" is for their team, rather than their opponents.

"[Yung] swag, para sa amin yun, para sa team. Hindi para sa kalaban," España rookie Eya Laure said.

"Pangpa-boost lang yun ng confidence namin," she added.

With a brewing rivalry between the Tigresses and the Lady Maroons after their offseason meetings, fans might interpret things differently.

But Coach Kung Fu Reyes and veteran Sisi Rondina assure that it is all for their team.

"We play with respect," Reyes said.

"Walang ibang meaning yun, [para sa] amin lang yun," Rondina said.
