LOS ANGELES, United States – Former MVP Russell Westbrook and Toronto Raptors star Kyle Lowry lead the list of NBA All-Star reserves announced on Thursday (Friday Manila Time).

Westbrook received his eighth All-Star selection while Lowry made it to the roster for the fifth straight time.

Westbrook was also the MVP of the 2015 and 2016 All-Star games.

Other reserves include four first-time all-stars 76ers guard Ben Simmons, Orlando Magic big man Nikola Vucevic, Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic and Bucks forward Khris Middleton.

The fourteen reserves from the East and West Conferences will join the 10 starters who were already announced last week.

Similar to last year, there will be no East versus West. The players will go into a draft and will be selected by captains LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo to play for their squads.

Defending champion Golden State will have three All-Stars this year, with reserve Klay Thompson joining starters Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant.

Meanwhile, LaMarcus Aldridge's selection as a reserve extends San Antonio's streak of having at least one All-Star to 21 consecutive years, the league's longest active run.

Indiana Pacers guard Victor Oladipo was also named as a reserve but will not be seeing any action after undergoing surgery earlier this week to repair a torn right quadriceps tendon. He is said to be replaced by Brooklyn Nets' D'Angelo Russel, but this has not been confirmed yet.

The All-Star game will be played February 17 (February 18 Manila Time) in Charlotte, North Carolina.
