MANILA, Philippines — After the Philippine Azkals’ historic stint in the Asian Cup, it will be Ceres Negros FC’s turn to gun for a milestone as it vies in the AFC Champions League qualifiers for the second time.

The Busmen take the first step in their bid to book a history-making trip to the ACL group stage on Feb. 5 with a Preliminary-Round 1 fixture against Myanmar’s Yangon United at their homefield Panaad Park and Stadium in Bacolod.

Should the reigning Phl titlists hurdle their Burmese rivals, they move up to Round 2 against Thai side Changrai United on Feb. 12 with a victory sending them further to Round 3 versus Japan’s Sanfreece Hiroshima to dispute a spot to Group F, where Guangzhou Evergrande (China), Daegu FC (Korea) and Melbourne Victory (Australia) are seeded.
