LAS VEGAS – Manny Pacquiao and Adrien Broner successfully made the welterweight limit of 147 pounds Friday here (Saturday Manila time), ensuring their showdown tomorrow is a go.

Pacquiao (60-7-2, 39 KOs)  and Broner (33-3-1-1, 24 KOs) took the stage for the last time before their 12-round clash, electrifying the packed crowd in attendance at the MGM Grand Garden Arena for the official weigh-in ceremony, which was open to the public.

Broner, the brash 29-year-old challenger, was first to hit the scales. He registered 146.5 pounds -- half a pound below the limit -- to effectively shut down rumors that he's had problems getting down in weight.

The Filipino icon, who will defend his WBA welterweight title Saturday (Sunday Manila time), expectedly breezed past the scales when he tipped in at 146 pounds.

The two fighters then engaged in a long staredown, with Pacquiao the first to break eye contact. Broner kept his sight at his upcoming foe, who he vowed to dethrone 24 hours from now.

Pacquiao, 40, will fight here for the first time since dominating Jessie Vargas in 2016.

Curiously, Broner drew with Vargas the last time he saw action.
