Arellano, San Beda spikers unscathed

MANILA, Philippines — Arellano University and San Beda overpowered their respective opponents yesterday to remain unscathed  in the women’s division of the 94th NCAA volleyball tournament at the Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

The Lady Chiefs made short work of the Mapua Lady Cardinals, 25-15, 25-12, 25-13, while the Lady Red Spikers had a tougher time before spanking the Lyceum of the Phl U Lady Pirates, 25-21, 25-22, 25-16, to keep their grip of the top spot with pristine 3-0 (win-loss) records.

If they keep it up, both AU and San Beda could be on course for a repeat of last year’s title match won by the former.
