NU reclaims UAAP cheerdance throne
MANILA, Philippines – The NU Pep Squad re-established its reign on the UAAP cheerdance floor with a flawless routine to rule the Season 81 competition at the Mall of Asia Arena on Sunday.
NU, which took the floor to the theme of the 2017 Disney animated film “Coco,” stunned the audience with a perfectly clean performance that featured well-executed tosses and visually pleasing motion pyramids.

The Legarda-based squad took home the Php50,000 top prize, followed by first runner-up FEU (Php30,000).
Defending champion Adamson was second runner-up with a prize of P20,000.
It was a redeeming performance for NU, which fell short of a five-peat when it got dethroned by Adamson in last year’s competition, settling for a share of fourth place.
The school also ruled Sunday's group stunts event, followed by FEU and Adamson.
