LPC derby elims gets under way
MANILA, Philippines — The LPC 38th Anniversary six-stag derby gets going today with more than 50 participants fielding in their new battle stags in the three-stag elims at the Las Piñas Coliseum.
Mandy Garcia of Batangas, who scored eight wins before losing his last fight in last week’s LBC Cup nine-stag derby last week at Pasay Cockpit, banners the elite cast in the event hosted by Mayor Nene Aguilar.
Others fielding in their winning lines are Marlon de Castro, Larry Alvarado, Alex Tobias, Greg Pallera, Greg Lucena, Onie Tan, Bobbit Ples, Boy Sauco, CJ Howard, Jethro at Royalty group, Boy de Roca, Doc Ted Macadagdag and Utoy Abarsoza.
Another three-stag elims will be held on Sept. 5 and 12 with the three-stag finals slated on Sept. 19.
Meanwhile, the annual AAO Big Event six-stag derby is set on Saturday with more than 140 fights on tap, according to host Gerry Ramos.
