WATCH: Perlas Pilipinas relishes underdog tag in 3x3 World Cup

MANILA, Philippines — Seeded 20th in the FIBA 3x3 World Cup’s playing field, Perlas Pilipinas is easily an underdog.

But that doesn’t dampen the spirits of the Philippines’ basketball body and women’s team member Jack Danielle Aminam.

During the pre-tournament presser at a hotel in Quezon City on Thursday, both SBP executive Sonny Barrios and Aminam walked the press through the rigors and the stakes the women’s program is faced.

Perlas Pilipinas will open begin its World Cup campaign in Pool D at 2:50 p.m. Friday at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan. They first take on the Netherlands and then Germany in the nightcap.
