BUDBA sweeps PHIDBC nat’l duckpin team titles
MANILA, Philippines — BUDBA DM-Bowlers dominated the recent 43rd Grand National duckpin bowling championships by winning the men’s and singles team crowns at the Marketplace Center along Kalentong St., Mandaluyong.
BDBA’s Ariel Macatangay and D’Friendly’s Bella Silbol shared the honors by bagging the men’s and ladies’ singles titles, respectively.
BUDBA DM-Bowlers subdued Mandaluyong Tiger Gem, 320-303, in the men’s finals while the BUDBA DM belles whipped La Union Duckpinners, 300-293.
BIDBA Kelsey and Mandaluyong Tiger NBI landed third in the men’s and ladies’ divisions, respectively.
Macatangay beat BIDBA’s Floyd San Jose, 235-199, to clinch the men’s singles plum after knocking out Francis Tagura, 126-199.
Silbol toppled UPDBC’s Mai Acido, 202-189, after hurdling Shaira Reyes, 133-115.
The week-long kegfest was organized by Philippine Duckpin Bowling Council (PHIDBC) headed by Inez Magbual and supported by San Miguel Corporation, Philippine Olympic Committee, Beth Pagkalinawan and Mr. and Mrs. Manny Manuesca.
