Visayans clash in PSC-Pacquiao Cup
MANILA, Philippines — Twenty-six boxers slug it out for finals spots in the first window of the PSC-Pacquiao Amateur Boxing Cup final round today at Maasin City Bus Terminal.
The finals, made up of 13 bouts, will feature young fighters from Talisay City, Mandaue City, Cebu City, Escalante City, Bago City, Bayawan City, Cadiz City, La Carlota City and Murcia in Negros Occidental.
Facing each other in the junior girls pinweight are Jeyann Medriano and Jilyn Dela Cruz (44-46kg.), followed by Micah Castellano versus Mary I.C. Sinadjan in the junior girls fly (50kg.), Kim Caterdilla versus Rodel Gamo in the junior boys pin (44-46kg.), Eduardo Jimenez and Samuel Manale in the junior boys lightfly (46kg.), Gaudfrey Lubiano against Joshua Belicena in the junior boys fly and Jorin Varona versus Jonimel Dajao in the junior boys light bantam (52kg.).
In other bouts, Sugar Ray Montales will go up against Ian Llyod Gesalan in the junior boys bantam (54kg.) followed by the youth girls lightfly between Myra Nacario and Mary Nicole Llamas (45-48kg.), Michael Adolfo versus John Paul Gabunelas in the youth boys lightfly (46-49kg.), Nel Tambanillo and April Jay Abne in the youth boys fly (52kg.), together with Jasper Anida versus Jhorhe Pasculado in the youth boys bantam (56kg.).
