MANILA, Philippines — Reigning Most Valuable Player June Mar Fajardo of San Miguel Beer is set to make history anew.

Fajardo, the first cager to win four straight MVPs, is poised to win his sixth Best Player of the Conference award, the league revealed on Sunday night.

The San Miguel Beer big man is followed by Barangay Ginebra’s Japeth Aguilar and teammate Arwind Santos, who is tied with GlobalPort’s Stanley Pringle.

The five-time PBA champion is norming 22.8 points a night, the best in the ongoing Philippine Cup. His field goal efficiency is also the best in the conference where he is averaging 63.8 percent.

The Cebuano behemoth is likewise the first player to have been named BPC of the prestigious all-Filipino conference in successive fashion. The latest, which will be given to him in Game Four, will be his fourth straight.
