32-team cast vies in SM- National Basketball Training Center tilt

MANILA, Philippines — Thirty-two of the country’s top high school basketball teams, including the champion teams from various leagues, gear up for a battle royale in the 11th SM-NBTC (National Basketball Training Center) League firing off Sunday at the MOA Arena in Pasay.

The cast also includes a number of squads from Filipino communities based in Australia, Canada, New Zealand and US, all ready to slug it out with the leading local teams in the five-day championship.

They include recently crowned UAAP juniors champion Ateneo, NCAA juniors division titlist La Salle Greenhills, CESAFI king University of Visayas, and MMBL winner Chiang Kai Shek. Earning wild card berths are National University, Mapua, Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu, San Beda College, UST, Letran and Adamson U, who all made podium finishes in their respective leagues.
