3 top groups pad derby list
MANILA, Philippines — Members of three big gamefowl groups banner the field in the Jared and Friends four-cock derby which gets under way at the Pasay City Cockpit today.
Participants will come from Batangas Breeders Club (BBC), Rizal Gamefowl Breeders Association (RGBA) and Luzon Gamecock Breeders Association (LGBA).
Hosted by Jimmy Junsay of Batangas and supported by Sagupaan Superfeeds and Complexor 3000, the event has a guaranteed prize of P500,000.
Meanwhile, the 2018 LGBA Cocker of the Year series will start next month, also at the Pasay cockpit.
The first leg, a seven-cock derby with P1 million at stake and entry fee of P16,500, starts on Feb.19, 23 and March 9.
Other derby dates are on March 16, 23 and April 6 (second leg, seven-bullstag) and on April 13 (third leg, five-bullstag).
