La Salle’s Ricci Rivero ‘most tweeted’ Philippine athlete

MANILA, Philippines — La Salle Green Archer Ricci Rivero has a reason to celebrate despite failing to defend their UAAP crown.
Rivero was hailed as the most tweeted Filipino athlete in a list released by Twitter Philippines Tuesday.
He bested other notable athletes such as Alyssa Valdez and Manny Pacquiao, both of whom saw action overseas.
Popular sports personality turned host Gretchen Ho landed a spot in the top four while ex-Ateneo phenom Kiefer Ravena rounded up the top five.
Philippine Sportswriters Association's Ms. Volleyball 2017 Mika Reyes is at sixth, while current De La Salle University basketball players Prince Rivero, Brent Paraiso and Kib Montalbo were at seventh to ninth.
Newly minted UAAP men's basketball finals MVP Thirdy Ravena completed the top 10.
The recently concluded #UAAPCDC2017 was also the second most tweeted sports hashtag in the country behind the #NBAFinals.
