MANILA, Philippines — Jeremy Lin's "Linsanity" transformed from his phenomenal performance to his crazy hairstyles.

Recently, the Brooklyn Net pointguard rocked his new do -- dreadlocks.

Not everyone was impressed.

Former NBA professional Kenyon Martin called out Lin and said Lin's hairstyle is appropriating culture.

"Do I need to remind this damn boy that his last name [is] Lin?" Martin said in an Instagram post.

"Come on man, somebody need to tell him, like, 'All right bro, we get it. You wanna be black.' Like, we get it. But the last name is Lin."

Lin responded and reminded Martin that he sports a tattoo in Chinese characters.

"I think as minorities, the more we appreciate each other's cltures, the more we influence mainstream society," he said.

Lin ended the post saying he looked up to Martin growing up and thanked him for what he did for the Nets.
