WATCH: Philippine spikers settle for 4th in SEAG

The Philippines competes against Vietnam in the women's volleyball competition of the 29th Southeast Asian Games.

MANILA, Philippines — Another empty finish for the Filipina spikers.
 
Longtime SEAG silver medalist Vietnam denied the Philippines a podium finish in the 2017 games with a four-set victory, 25-27, 25-22, 25-20, 25-21 at the MITEC Hall 11 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Sunday.
 
Three Filipinas finished in double digits. Jaja Santiago led with 20 points, Alyssa Valdez added 17 while Jovelyn Gonzaga chipped in 13.
 
The Philippines' last podium appearance in the biennial meet was in 2005 when the National team finished third.
