MANILA, Philippines — The Korean curse is still alive. But one Filipino player seemed not affected by it.
FIBA on Thursday tweeted a highlight reel of Gilas Pilipinas' very own Terrence Romeo in their FIBA Asia Cup knockout quarterfinal game against South Korea Wednesday night.
Philippines lost against Korea but let's not forget that @TBVRomeo scored 22pts in a single quarter (2/2 2pts, 6/8 3pts) #FIBAAsiaCup2017 pic.twitter.com/lhxCwZr98S

In a performance for the ages, Romeo was unstoppable in the second quarter and exploded for 22 points to keep Gilas within striking distance.
The fiery guard went 8-for-10 from the field, hitting six shots from beyond the rainbow line.
His effort was all for naught as the Philippines suffered a 86-118 defeat to their archrivals to end their medal hopes.
