MANILA, Philippines - Ateneo took charge early and blasted University of the East, 75-44, in Week Two of the Milcu Sports Basketball Summer Showcase 19-under division at Lyceum gym last weekend.
SJ Belangel shot 10 points, grabbed five rebounds and dished off three assists to the Blue Eaglets past the Junior Warriors in the tournament organized by Got Skills and sanctioned by the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas.
In the 25-U division, RJ Abarrientos had 11 points, five rebounds, and two assists as Far Eastern University upended Batang Gilas, 63-53.
Ricci Rivero sizzled with 23 points as La Salle clobbered Lyceum, 100-65, to notch its third straight win. Leonard Santillan had 17 points and seven boards for the Green Archers.
Chibueze Ikeh fired 13 points and hauled down nine rebounds as Ateneo crushed Arellano, 70-48, for a 2-0 record in the 25-U division.
