Antons feted at Kafagway awards

MANILA, Philippines - Castrol-Yokohama father-and-son racing tandem Carlos and Iñigo Anton led five other awardees during the 31st Kafagway Sports International Luminary Awards in Baguio City.

The Kafagway awards are given yearly to outstanding athletes from Baguio City and the Cordilleras who have brought honors to the region. 

Also feted were One Fighting Championship world lightweight champion Edward Folayang and Divine Wally, a gold medalist in the Asian Wushu Championships.

Carlos Anton together with teammate and overall individual champion Milo Rivera, put the Philippines back on the world racing stage after clinching the overall team crown in the Asia Zone Gymkhana Championships against 13 other nations in Taiwan last September.

The younger Anton highlighted his 2016 racing season by winning the overall National Cadet Expert Karting Championship aside from finishing overall second runner-up in the 2016 Asian Karting Open Championship.
