UFCC holds 6-cock card at Las Piñas
MANILA, Philippines - The country’s top breeders and cockers brace for a fierce duel with their respective aces in the Ultimate Fighting Cock Championships 6-cock derby today at Las Piñas Coliseum.
Joey and Buboy delos Santos of Laguna, winners of the 2017 World Pit Masters Cup last month at Resorts World Manila, rank as the top favorite with their high-flying Bruce Brown fowls from California handled by Jun Cuello.
Another fancied participant is Mayor Nene Aguilar, runner-up of the World Pit Masters Cup, whose Striker entry was fielded by Sonny Aguilar and Onie Tan.
Meanwhile, the last two qualifying rounds of Regalo ni Mayor Nene 5-cock derby will be held on Feb. 22 and March 1, also at LPC, which boasts of a three-level parking area that can accommodate 200 vehicles.
The 3-cock finals will be staged on March 8.
