2017 NBA All-Star Starters: Who’s deserving? Who’s not?

MANILA, Philippines — Less than a month before the 2017 NBA All-Star Game in New Orleans and it's already generating buzz with the reveal of the starters.
This year, NBA players and media members made up half of the percentage to determine the starters. The other half was still for the fans.
When the starters were announced on Thursday (Friday in Manila), some expected names were included, while some were left out.
Golden State's Steph Curry and Kevin Durant will headline the West team and will go up against their finals nemesis last year as LeBron James and Kyrie Irving will lead the East.
Houston's James Harden, San Antonio's Kawhi Leonard and New Orleans' Anthony Davis complete the West cast.
DeMar DeRozan of Toronto, Giannis Antetokounmpo of Milwaukee and Jimmy Butler of Chicago round up the players for East.
The biggest surprise of the reveal was the non-inclusion of Oklahoma City's Russell Westbrook.
His triple-double average this season of 30.6 points, 10.6 rebounds and 10.4 assists per game is not enough for him to nab spot in the starters.
Other notable snubs include Toronto Raptors' Kyle Lowry, Boston Celtics' Isaiah Thomas and John Wall of Washington.
The reserves will be announced this Thursday (Friday in Manila).
