LOOK: Mayweather again flaunts $100M check from Pacquiao fight

Floyd Mayweather's $100 million check, a partial payment from the Manny Pacquiao fight, a photo of which he recently posted on his Instagram account.

MANILA, Philippines – Floyd Mayweather Jr. again reminded the public why he fondly calls himself “Money.”

The retired Mayweather took to Instagram to post a photo of a Bank of America check dated May 2, 2015, which he received as partial payment after his megabuck showdown with Manny Pacquiao last year.

The amount? A whopping $100 million (around Php4.9 billion).

Mayweather first brandished the check before reporters at a press conference after he defeated Pacquiao via unanimous decision in Las Vegas in May 2015.

Mayweather earned at least $220 million in the fight, which went down in history as the richest boxing match ever. It generated over $400 million in revenue and sold a record 4.6 million pay-per-view units.

Pacquiao, for his part, took home at least $150 million. And with the huge purses the two superstars earned fighting each other, a rematch seems to be a logical choice financially.

Mayweather recently showed up ringside at Pacquiao’s fight against Jessie Vargas at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas last November 6, stirring talks that the two are headed for another clash.

The Filipino, for his part, added fuel to the fire when he recently sported a coat featuring pictures of him and Mayweather inside.
