Melindo, Pagara bros see action

ANG DIOS MIINGON - Abac Cordero - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Milan Melindo continues his long and arduous journey toward a world title when he meets Thailand’s Fahlan Sakkreerin in tonight’s “Pinoy Pride: Road to Redemption” card at the Cebu Coliseum.

Melindo, a 28-year-old native of Cagayan de Oro, has had a couple of cracks at the world light-flyweight and flyweight crown the last three years but failed on both occasions.

The Pagara brothers will also climb the ring tonight, with Albert “The Prince” Pagara taking on Raymond Commey of Ghana.

The elder Pagara, Jason, battles Jose Alfaro of Nicaragua, hoping to maintain his No. 1 ranking in the WBO super-lightweight class.
