Best of bodybuilders dispute SRC crowns

MANILA, Philippines - The country’s top bodybuilders, physique, fitness, figure and bikini contenders face off in the Shawn Rhoden Classic Philippines, all seeking the crown in various divisions tomorrow at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay.

Categories on tap are the men’s Bodybuilding with the field vying in the below 65kg, 65-70kg, 754-80kg, above 80kg, novice and masters; the men’s Physique-Overall which features the novice, short and tall categories; the Classic Bodybuilding Open, the Women’s Figure Open, the Women’s Bikini Overall which features the short and tall events.

Registration is set from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. today at the Midas Hotel and Casino (Second Floor) with fee pegged at P2,000. The prejudging will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow with the finals set at 5 p.m.

Shawn Rhoden will grace the event together with IFBB’s (International Federation of Body Building) and Fitness Pro Bikini champion Janet Layug. 

SRC Philippines is a franchise under Shawn “Flexatron” Rhoden, one of the top global names in bodybuilding. Rhoden began his endeavor in 1992 when he met with former Mr. Universe Yohnnie Shambourger.
