Cone to Ginebra fans after loss: We will pick ourselves up, fight for you
MANILA, Philippines – Barangay Ginebra coach Tim Cone has apologized to the team’s fans after the Kings failed to wrap up their semis series against San Miguel Sunday evening.
The PBA’s winningest coach took to Twitter to say sorry to the Ginebra fateful after the Kings’ blowout loss to the Beermen, 72-101, which sent the series to a deciding Game Five.
Cone then vowed to bounce back in Game Five on Wednesday.
Such a beautiful crowd last night, yet we fell flat on our faces. We're so sorry to let the fans down. They were great even if we were not.
