MANILA, Philippines - The Asian Poker Tour (APT), one of the leading poker tours around the world, returns to Resorts World Manila (RWM) for APT Philippines III 2016 Sept. 14-22.
Having hosted the international tournament since 2010, RWM welcomes back the APT for another lucrative event pitting the best players from around the globe as the local live poker scene continues to earn more public interest in the country.
Resorts World has also hosted the record-breaking 2010 APT-RWM Iron Man Challenge which stands as the longest continuous poker tourney at 48 hours, 55 minutes, 58.5 seconds, and the 2014 APT Series Poker Finale where Vietnamese Huy Pham won the P3.18M pot by besting over 2,000 participants from around the globe.
Prior to the upcoming event, RWM also played host to the APT Philippines 2016 in April and its second leg in July which was opened by the APT-RWM $50,000 Guaranteed Opening Event.
For the first APT Philippines tournament of the year, Korea’s Jeon Seung Soo bested over 180 entries to earn the $116,100 purse. Japan’s Shinichiro Tone took home first place winnings for APT Philippines II amounting to $56,600 over a field of 114 players.
Those interested to join the APT Philippines III 2016 may register with the APT. Accepted players will be issued a player registration card to be presented to tournament registration staff during tournament day. Players must secure a tournament receipt to be paid and verified at the venue cashier to secure a seat card. Main Event Buy In is at $1,650.
