PARIS — The WTA says former world No. 1 Caroline Wozniacki has pulled out of the French Open because of an injured right ankle.
The 34th-ranked Wozniacki hasn't played since she lost her second match at the Miami Open in March.
Her participation at Roland Garros was already in doubt after she withdrew from clay-court tournaments in Madrid and Rome because of the injury she suffered during practice.
The draw for the French Open is on Friday. Play begins on Sunday (next Monday in Manila).
