Condura Skyway marathon fires off Sunday

MANILA, Philippines – The Condura Skyway Marathon 2016 Run For a Hero hits the road at 12 a.m. Sunday with the country’s elite long distance runners and celebrities leading the field in Filinvest City, Alabang.

Richard Salano Alley Quisay, Mary Joy Tabal, Mary Grace Delos Santos and last year’s top Filipino finishers in the 42K race Rafael Poliquit Jr. and Miscelle Gilbuena banner the local roster out to stop the formidable Kenyan runners in the multi-distance charity race co-presented by Asics and held in partnership with Summit Natural Drinking Water, Gatorade, Filinvest City Alabang Inc., LTime Studio, Blue Ant, Salonpas, GoPro, Urban Ashram and Bellevue Manila.

The top male and female finishers in the 42K Open will receive P25,000 each with the runners-up and third placers to receive P15,000 and P10,000, respectively.

Cash prizes will also be up for grabs in the 21K, 10K and 6K races.

Spicing up the event are TV and movie stars Anne Curtis, Kuya Kim Atienza, Dingdong Dantes, Bubbles Paraiso, Tim Yap, Bianca King, Paolo Paraiso, Anthony Pangilinan and Maricel Laxa-Pangilinan.

For the second straight year, the beneficiary of the Condura Skyway Marathon is the HERO (Help Educate and Rear Orphans) Foundation which gives supplemental financial support for the orphans of military personnel who were killed in action or become incapacitated in the line of duty.
