MANILA, Philippines – The UST Tigers' embattled head coach has finally broken his silence.
Segundo "Bong" dela Cruz, the coach of the University's men's basketball team for the last two UAAP seasons, issued a written statement denying allegations that he had been maltreating his wards.
The statement was made public early Monday evening, a week after Dela Cruz's reported sacking from the Tigers' coaching staff.
Dela Cruz, who had been missing from the team's practices last week, is also reportedly under investigation by the UST brass.
