MANILA, Philippines – Four cars and two golf carts worth about P5 million are up for grabs as hole-in-one prizes in the Mango Tee, the member-guest tournament of the Alabang Country Club presented by Petron and Smart slated Feb. 1-6.
Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi, Chevrolet and Toyota cars are all on offer as rewards for aces on designated holes aside from Texas Eagle and Yamaha golf carts and so many other prizes assembled by the host club for the 32nd edition of the prestigious annual competition.
The event fired off yesterday with the traditional hitting of ceremonial balls by club officials led by its president Jude Aguilar, Mango Tee committee headed by Dennis Hernandez and heads and representatives of tournament sponsors.
Almost 600 members and guests will be answering the daily shotgun morning and afternoon tee-offs from Monday to Saturday with focus on the chase for the low gross, low net and the division titles in four different handicap divisions of the tourney which has Hanes, Pacific Links, Pepsi, Life Oil, Turf Co., Glenlivet, Mizuno, Food Details, PacSports, Srixon and Stansbury as major sponsors.
Hole-in-one sponsors are Citimotors, Mercedes-Benz/CATS Motors, Toyota, Chevrolet, Texas Eagle, Autohub and Yamaha/Kart Plaza. There will be nightly raffles from Monday until Friday before the culmination of the tourney on Saturday where millions worth of prizes will be raffled off.
