MANILA, Philippines – Young Achievers’ School of Caloocan overpowered Paref-Rosehill, 25-2, 25-9, to notch its second straight win in the 20th Women’s Volleyball League at Xavier School gym last weekend.
The win put Young Achievers on top of Group B in the 13-Under Developmental Division of the tournament organized by the BEST Center and backed by Milo.
School of the Holy Spirit-QC clipped St. Scholastica’s College-Manila, 25-20-25-17, for a 2-1 card in a tie with St. Paul College-Makati, which routed St. Dominic Savio College, 25-8, 25-7.
Other winners in the 13-U Developmental Division: (Group A) Balara Elementary School and Jubilee Christian Academy; and (Group C) Colegio de San Agustin-Makati, Escuela de Sophia and Holy Family School.
Victors in the 17-U Developmental Division were (Group A) CSA-Makati, San Antonio de Padua College and Sisters of Mt. Carmel Catholic School; (Group C) St. Bridget School and St. Raphaela Mary School; and (Group D) School of the Holy Spirit and Young Achievers.
Weekend winners in the 17-U Competitive Division were (Group A) De la Salle-Zobel and St. Dominic Savio College; (Group B) San Antonio de Padua College and St. Scholastica’s College-Manila: (Group C) Colegio de San Lorenzo; and (Group D) Escuela de Sophia and Holy Family School of Quezon City.
