De Joya cops overall plum in DMG golf

MANILA, Philippines - Mark de Joya shot a net score of 68.2 to capture the overall championship in the 16th Domingo M. Guevara Memorial golf tournament at Wack Wack Golf and Country Club in Mandaluyong City recently.

A. S. Tanchangco carded a net 68.8 to cop the Class A crown with Dominic Hing and Alex Moon placing second and third with 69.6 and 70.4, respectively.

Budji Coscolluela snared the Class B title with a net 70.8, besting Jeremy Tan, whoe had a 71.8, while Joel Liboon turned in a 72.4 to finish third.

Bernie Oca shot a net 74 to pocket the Class C diadem with Kwak Ki Young nipping Rey Chua for second in the countback after carding similar 75.2.

Isa Velayo topped the ladies division with a net 72.6 with Deena Mendiola and Mely Leveza finishing second and third with 73.4 and 74.8, respectively.
