MANILA, Philippines – Vasek Pospisil redeemed himself after a sour outing in India earlier this week.
Pospisil went all out against Ivo Karlovic, 7-5, 7-5, to emphatically book his ASB Classic second round ticket in just under 90 minutes.
The 25-year-old Canadian netter exploited his foe, who is eleven years his senior. He shot 12 aces and won 80 percent of his service points, according to ATPWorldTour.com.
The victory came in as a refreshing turn of events, as Pospisil suffered a stunning exit at the Chennai Open prior the Auckland tourney.
Pospisil was the only seed who wasn't able to advance in the second round in Chennai.
The young netter will take on the American Jack Sock who also happens to be his doubles partner. The two won it all in Wimbledon back in 2014.
