MANILA, Philippines – PBA Hall of Famer Lim Eng Beng succumbed to liver cancer Monday morning at St. Luke’s Hospital in Quezon City. He was 64.
Lim has been battling cancer for three years. He was named one of the PBA’s 40 greatest players after a fruitful career that spanned from 1975 to 1986.
After leading La Salle to NCAA titles in 1971 and 1973, Lim suited up for Concepcion, UTex, San Miguel, Shell and Manila Beer in Asia’s first play-for-pay league.
