MANILA, Philippines -- The Brgy. Ginebra Kings arranged a Manila Clasico quarterfinal match-up with sister team Star Hotshots on Christmas Day after turning back the Talk n Text Tropang Texters, 91-84, on Sunday at the end of the 2015 Smart Bro PBA Philippine Cup eliminations at the Mall of Asia Arena.
The win was the Kings' sixth in their last seven games that clinched them the fourth seed behind the top three teams -- Alaska, San Miguel Beer and Rain or Shine.
The Kings will meet the Hotshots, who finished at ninth place under new coach Jason Webb.
The first phase of the quarterfinals where the Kings hold a twice-to-beat advantage will be held on Christmas Day also at the same venue. GlobalPort and Barako Bull will also tangle in the first game with the Batang Pier carrying a twice-to-beat edge.
