FBA semis pit NU vs Pateros

MANILA, Philippines – Manila NU MFT clashes with Pateros Austen Morris while Pampanga Foton collides with Marikina Wangs in today’s semifinals of the Filsports Basketball Association Second Conference at the Marikina Sports Center.

Hosted by Marikina Mayor Del de Guzman, the duel between the Mica Tan-backed Bulldogs and Associates is set at 3:30 p.m. while the Toplander and the Deliverers collide at 5:30 p.m.

Pampanga took the top seeding after finishing with a league-best 8-2 (win-loss) record capped by an 87-73 win over Manila NU-MFT, which fell to second with a 7-3 slate.

Pateros Austen Morris, for its part, leaned on Jawhar Purdy’s 33-point performance as it edged Quezon City UP, 84-82, to clinch the No. 3 spot with a 5-5 card while Marikina outlasted Malolos Mighty Bulsu, 130-123, for a 4-6 mark as it grabbed the last semis berth in the league headed by president and CEO LJ Serrano together with commissioner and CFO Vince Hizon.
