Magtalas-Ramos paces Founders Cup

MANILA, Philippines - James Magtalas and guest Siegfried Ramos assembled 117 net points to grab a one-stroke lead over the pair of Ace Stehmeier and Jorge Gallent in Group A halfway through the 19th Founders Cup held at the Orchard Golf and Country Club.

Magtalas and Ramos scored 34 and 39, respectively, in aggregate at the Palmer course for 73 points then combined for 44 at the Player under the best ball format. 

Stehmeier and Gallent, an assistant coach in the PBA, made a 69 and 47 to finish with 116.  The duo, however, was ahead of the pack in the race for the overall gross championship with 110.

Ricardo Nimo and Gary Sales, winner of the recent National Tournament of Club Champions, were third with 115 in the event sponsored by Petron, Philippine Airlines, Mizuno, CATS Motors, BDO-CLG, BDO-Visa, Moet-Hennessy APP and Sta. Lucia Realty.
