MANILA, Philippines -- The third overall pick of this year's draft Jahlil Okafor was involved in an altercation outside a bar in Boston on Thursday night (Manila time) following their 0-16 start in the NBA.
TMZ Sports posted a video of the incident where the 19-year old Philadelphia 76ers rookie was seen yelling at a man until a scuffle ensued.
"We got money you broke ass n**ga," was Okafor yelling to a man, whom witnesses said started it all by shouting "76ers suck!" at Okafor.
The heckling ended up with the man got knocked out by Okafor's hard punch to the face. No arrests were made though as both groups left the scene immediately after the incident.
A few hours before the incident, Okafor had 19 points, nine rebounds and four shot blocks in an 80-84 loss to the Celtics where they blew a five-point lead with less than three minutes left.
It was their 26th straight loss and 16th in a row to start the season, becoming the first team in NBA history to start 0-16 in consecutive seasons.
The 6-foot-11 rookie out of Duke University is averaging 18.4 points, 8.1 rebounds and 1.8 blocks but could not help the Sixers avoid tying the major U.S. professional sports futility mark set by the NFL's Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 1976 to '77 and matched by the 76ers in 2013-14.
