Byron Villaria sizzled with 31 points for the Road Warriors, who also drew 14 markers from AJ Vitug while Andrie Albano finished with 16 points and five rebounds for OLFU, which also got 11 points apiece from Nelson Peñafiel and Martin Gozon.
The Road Warriors thus ended up with a 3-2 card and will take on the Mindanao Aguilas (2-3) in the quarterfinals while the OLFU Phoenix (1-4) and Hobe Bihon-Cars Unlimited (4-1) clash in the other Last 8 pairing.
With a sweep of Group A, Far Eastern University-NRMF gained an automatic seat in the semifinal round of the league supported by PSBank, Accel Sportswear, PCA-Marivalley, Angel’s Burger, Mckie’s Construction Equipment Sales and Rentals, Luyong Panciteria, Azucar Boulangerie and Patisserie, JAJ Quick Print Advertising, Mall Tile Experts Corporation, Jay Marcelo Tires, Polar Glass and Aluminum Supply, and Mr. and Mrs. Dot Escalona.
Meanwhile, the elims wind up today with matches in Group B pitting Sta. Lucia (3-1) against Austen Morris Associates (2-2) and Philippine Christian U versus Macway Travel.
