Elorde holds 22nd anniversary derby
MANILA, Philippines - Businessman-sportsman Johnny Elorde is hosting the Elorde Sports Center’s 22nd anniversary four-cock derby tomorrow at the Elorde Cockpit Stadium on Sucat Road, Parañaque.
The derby has a guaranteed prize of P 300,000. Entry fee is P11,000 with a minimum bet of P5,500. The handler and gaffer of the winning entry will receive P20,000 and 10,000, respectively.
Top breeders and cockfighting aficionados expected to participate include Atty. Astorga, Bay-bay, Alex Tobias, Nene Aguilar of Las Piñas, Teves brothers of Biñan Laguna, Jessie Marquez (Silver Mallet), Wolverine, Bong Paraiso, Ka Bido’s 1BZF, Boss Malong, Crab Time, Talaba Cockpit, Jun Bacolod and Erick Don Enrique.
Weights required are 1.8-2.4 kgs. Submission and declaration of weights will be done one day before the fight.

Meanwhile, a one-cock ulutan is held every Tuesday with a guaranteed prize of P1,500 per win for the first to 15th fight – 16 to finish with P1,000 per win.
