MANILA, Philippines - Sen. JV Ejercito has answered the challenge of the Cannonball 2016, which kicks off at the Oxford Hotel and Casino in Clark, Pampanga on Jan. 8.
Ejercito will be driving a dark gray Jaguar F Type as he joins the roster of motorsports enthusiasts who will attempt to finish the Northern Luzon route totaling 1,200 kilometers in less than a day.
Open to all cars and motorcycles 301cc and above, the Cannonball 2016 is organized by six-time endurance champion Joey Almeda and backed by Joey Guillermo of Flying V, Chua Peng Chai of Brunei Riders, Fil Oil, Petron, BMW, KTM, Aprilia, Moto Guzzi, TVS; Peugeot, Jeep, Mahindra and Ropali.
Acting Makati Mayor Romulo Peña is also one of the participants.

Underbones and scooters pegged at 300cc below will fall under a class of their own, the Cannonball 500, which will be tracing a similar but more compact route of 500kms under a 12-hour time limit. This is aside from the premier Cannonball 1,000 category, which will join the cars in a 24-hour endurance run.
The Cannonball 2015’s last staging saw a parade of super cars such as Ferrari, Maserati, Jaguar, Aston Martin, BMW and Porsche, together with Mazda, Chrysler, Morgan, Peugeot, Mahindra and motorcycles.
