Elorde hosts anniversary derby

MANILA, Philippines - A four-cock anniversary d erby will be held Nov. 23 at the Elorde Cockpit  Stadium on Sucat Road, Parañaque.

Promoted by businessman-sportsman Johnny Elorde, the derby has a guaranteed  prize of P300,000. Entry fee is P11,000 with P5,500 as minimum bet.

The handler and gaffer of the winning entry will receive P20,000 and P10,000, respectively.

Top breeders and cockfighting aficionados expected to participate are Atty. Astorga, Bay-bay, Alex Tobias, Nene Aguilar–Las Piñas, Teves Bro’s-Biñan Laguna, Silver Mallet–Jessie Marquez, Wolverine-Marlon, Boss Tisoy, Singkit, Bong Paraiso, Ka Bido-1BZF, Boss Malong,  Crab Ime, Talaba Cockpit, Jun Bacolod and Erick Don Enrique.

Meanwhile a one-cock ulutan will be held every Tuesday with a guaranteed prize of P 1,500 per win for the first 15 fights, 16 to finish with P1,000 per win.
