MANILA, Philippines - Joel Manlutac posted a gross two-under 70 while Fil Santos shot a net 10-under 62 to share the overall championship honors in the Phoenix Premium 98 Am Open’s third and final leg at the Beverly Place Golf Club in Mexico, Pampanga.
In the Open division, Gerry Castaneda snared the crown with 28 under the Stableford scoring format while Mike Singgaran, course designer of Beverly Place, and Custom Clubmakers’ Jake Ong tied for second with 23s.
Bobby Rosales signed for 36 points to escape with a one-point victory over Christer Sibug and won by four over Jose Antonio Narciso in Class A in the event sponsored by Magsaysay Transport Logistics Services and Banco de Oro-Unibank.
John San Pedro took the Class B crown with an impressive 32-point output while Lee Tagoc scored 27 points to capture the Class C crown.
Emy Arcilla came through with 20 points to bag the Class D title in the event backed by Pioneer Insurance, Foton, Tata, GPS Tracker, 3636, Landbank, Mercedes-Benz, Unionbank, TOIC, Green Future, Cebu Pacific, China Bank, Golden Sea Customs Brokerage, Steel Asia and Globe Business.
