Gasquet tries to stay sharp in Stockholm Open

MANILA, Philippines – Philippine Maverick Richard Gasquet is keeping his wares sharp and ready for the International Premier Tennis League this December.
Gasquet, who is currently No. 10 in the ATP ladder, is looking to keep his gears at work at the Stockholm Open, where he is awaiting the victor off Maximilian Marterer and Leonardo Mayer's first round match.
The French netter is currently seeded second in the tournament in Sweden.
As of posting time, Gasquet is the only IPTL tennis star participating in men's tennis action. His Maverick teammate Milos Raonic, who dropped at 14th in the standings, is taking a break after his Shanghai conquest.
Superstars Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Kei Nishikori who are all playing in the IPTL slated for December, are also unlisted for any tournament per ATPWorldTour.com.
Djokovic will be suiting up for the Singapore Slammers, while Federer and Nadal will play for the UAE Royals and Indian Aces respectively. Nishikori will headline the Japan Warriors.
Former US Open king Marin Cilic, who will also see action with the Royals, is currently battling it out in Moscow.
The IPTL mounts its second leg in the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay from December 6 through 8.
