ATLANTA – Gerald Green and James Ennis each scored 19 points and the Miami Heat beat the Atlanta Hawks 101-92 in a preseason game Sunday (Monday in Manila).
Chris Bosh had 14 points for Miami, which improved to 3-3 in preseason. Bosh and fellow starters Dwyane Wade and Luol Deng were held out in second half.
Mike Scott finished with 19 points as Atlanta dropped to 4-1.
HEAT: Center Hassan Whiteside was held out with a sore left ankle. Coach Erik Spoelstra said the injury isn't considered serious. Whiteside missed the first four preseason games with a strained right calf. The team listed "rehabilitative recovery" as the reason rookie forward Justise Winslow didn't play. Udonis Haslem has stitches around both eyes and was held out.
HAWKS: Coach Mike Budenholzer used his regular starting lineup of Kyle Korver, Jeff Teague, Al Horford, Kent Bazemore and Paul Millsap. All five began the third.
UP NEXT: Miami hosts Washington on Wednesday (Thursday in Manila). The Hawks host Memphis on Wednesday (Thursday in Manila).
