Westbrook, Kanter powers Thunder past Mavs in Tulsa

TULSA, Oklahoma – Russell Westbrook, playing parts of the first and third quarters, scored 19 points in 20 minutes to lead the Oklahoma City Thunder to a 100-88 victory over the Dallas Mavericks.
Enes Kanter came off the bench to score 17 points and grab 11 rebounds before a sellout crowd, helping Oklahoma City treat a sellout crowd of 17,978.
John Jenkins, a free-agent signee, scored 26 points for Dallas on 11-of-18 shooting.
MAVERICKS: Center Zaza Pachulia, acquired in July from Milwaukee for a second-round pick, had 13 points, all in the first half. Rookie Justin Anderson from Virginia had 11 points. ... The Mavs left six players home with injuries, including Chandler Parsons and Deron Williams. Dirk Nowitzki remained in Dallas to rest.
THUNDER: Dion Waiters and Anthony Morrow added 10 points, while rookie guard Cameron Payne impressed with eight points with two assists in eight minutes. The Thunder outscored the injury-depleted Mavericks 25-14 in the fourth quarter.
STAR WATCH: Kevin Durant scored 10 points and showed no effects from his foot injury that kept him out of 55 games last season, though he shot just 4 of 12.
SURPRISING STATS: Jenkins has scored 61 points in the Mavs' last three preseason games.
UP NEXT: Dallas is home against Atlanta on Friday (this Saturday in Manila). The Thunder are at Memphis on the same day.
